HALLOWEEN

This Halloween was probably the most fun of any that I have ever had. All 3 kids were into it! I was worried about how the day would turn out when poor little Gwyneth threw up all over the floor first thing in the morning. She continued to be sick that day, but kept say "mommy can I please still go trick or treating." I said whatever you want to do sweetie. If you are not up to it I will take you to the store when you feel better and buy you whatever candy you want. She was very insistent on going. The weather could not have been better, It was in the 70s. Bob, Stacy, and Ang came over for dinner then went out trick or treating with us. Grace is into being a "tom boy" these days and wanted to be a Jedi from Star Wars. I had gotten Gavin a Yoda costume to match Grace thinking Gwyn could be a star wars princess. Gavin threw a fit when I put the costume on him and only want to be a pig. I would ask, "do you want to be Yoda?" He would yell "NO" so then I would ask, "do you want to be a pig?" He would happily let out an "oink!" He has this weird obsession with pigs right now. He loves them. He carries around The Three Little Pigs book that we read to him several times a day and he has an entire entourage of stuffed pigs. So funny. Grace found a spider costume at the store and was so excited that Gavin could be spider pig from the Simpson's. Gavin wasn't happy about the spider at first, but then he got into his spider pig character. Gwyn, who by this point was saying she was going to be super girl, looked at the unused Yoda costume and said "Hey, I'll wear that!" She loved it and slept in it 2 days straight, it was a struggle to get her to take it off for school. She kept saying "the force is strong with Gwyneth." So she was Yoda for Halloween and used a little stick to walk. That girl was a trooper and you would have never guessed she was sick when she was out trick or treating. Gavin was so into it and ran to every house. He kept saying "I love candy." This was the first year that he really was into it, so having everyone so excited was just so much fun. The kids were just so funny. Towards the end there was a house that had the light on but nobody was home and Gavin cried "I want candy" he acted as if his little heart was broken. He was tired, I think he ran the equivocal to a baby marathon. Later that night Brian set up the tents and we had a camp out in the living room.
